A recent report revealed that digital investment platform Clim8 has raised about £2.4 million to support its green finance initiative. The platform is focused on using technology to deal with climate issues.
The company concluded the funding session with contributions coming from over 1900 retail investors and technology experts through its Crowd.
However, top investors in the funding session include EcoSummit Ventures, Evergreen Fund, Basil Capital, 7percent Ventures, as well as some McKinsey ex-partners.
PPS partners with Exceet card to improve sustainability
Similarly, PPS (previously known as PrePay solutions) announced earlier in the week a partnership with Exceet Card Group, an Australian-based card manufacturer.
The news is coming at a time when PPS is increasing its sustainability and environmentally-friendly programs.
The company wants to meet the needs of clients who are willing to provide sustainable products and services to their customers for an improved green environment.
The partnership will allow PPS to offer its clients access to a wide spectrum of card manufacturers both in the EU and UK market.
Raising Funds To Impact The Environment
The realized fund was higher than the company’s expected target by 600%. When added to the funds realized during the previous session, the total raised amount is now £4.4 million.
Clim8 Initiative says the main goal of the fundraising is to help people gain financial returns from their actions that will impact their physical environment positively.
The firm’s portfolio is going great in the market and would have achieved a 16% return if it had been in the market for up to a year.
Chief executive officer of Clim8 Duncan Grierson said the company is witnessing a surge in sustainable assets. “We are currently seeing a significant interest in sustainable assets,” he said.
He further reiterated that there is more awareness of the threat of climate change. As a result, companies are looking for alternative means of sustaining the environment while realizing profits. Grierson says his company is excited to be part of that movement.
12,000 waitlist for new product
Clim8 platform has already started rolling out products to 12,000 strong waitlist. Grierson said the investment is purely focused on sustainable businesses with green products and services.
The investment team of the Clim8 platform is made of complete professionals and experts in environmental sustainability and only look for firms that are “plant positive,” he reiterated.
