Gene Simmons, bassist of the famous band Kiss, is a keen advocate of cryptocurrencies.
He has been sharing his experiences with crypto on his Twitter profile for days now.
He has confirmed that he owns several cryptocurrencies, including:
On February 13th, he admitted that he bought Ethereum for $300,000 on the Gemini exchange four months ago. His investment turned out to be a good one, because the price of Ethereum has literally soared from $350 to the current $1,800.
In fact, in a later tweet he admitted to having bought ETH when it was worth $300, and not $420 as other users had assumed.
But to those who asked him why he had chosen Ethereum and not BItcoin, he replied:
“I own quite a bit of both”.
To those who wanted to know instead how many Litecoin he owned, he replied:
Finally, one last tweet was reserved for Binance Coin:
“Yes. I’m a HODLer!”
The choice of Binance Coin is also proving to be a positive one, as the token on the Binance exchange has tripled in value in the last month alone, from $42 to the current $131.|b2c0dc2cac74571c63a8ad844c373418|
Gene Simmons is not the only star to publicly admit to being a fan of cryptocurrencies. There are several celebrities who are coming out.
A few months ago Maisie Williams, famous for playing Arya Stark in the TV series Game of Thrones used Twitter to ask her fans if she should buy Bitcoin.
More recently, actress Lindsay Lohan also tweeted about her interest in Bitcoin and Ethereum, and later also Tron.
Gene Simmons is not new to the world of cryptocurrencies. He had already talked about it some time ago with Anthony Pompliano, with whom he discussed the volatility of Bitcoin, arguing that it was not dead as some wanted to believe.
It was April 2019, in June Bitcoin would touch its annual record at $13,000. Almost two years later, BItcoin has also tripled in value proving that no, it is not dead at all.
