You and I are never going to be billionaires.
Maybe we’ll get lucky and make it to millions, but statistically speaking even that is a long shot.
But what if you could just *hold* a billion dollars for a day? A week? A month?
$1 billion is a lot of money. It’s as far away from $1 million as $1 million is away from $1000.
Let’s say you gain access to a billion dollars worth of crypto today. Someone accidentally sent it to you, and have written a plea to you to send it back.
Naturally you’re a good person and send it back – after a short while. You decide to leave it staked while pondering returning it, in a coin that returns a modest 5% annually (we’ll use APR instead of APY).
– After *one day* you’ll have earned $13,698
– After one week you’ll have earned $96,153
– After one month? A cool half a million dollars
For most people in third-world countries, that’s more than life-changing money *daily*. Hell, even if you consider the [average american’s idea of lifechanging](https://www.fool.com/retirement/2019/03/10/this-is-what-americans-consider-a-life-changing-am.aspx) then that’s lifechanging just holding it for two days.
And the worst part about this? Even after returning it, your life can be changed **and the billionaire gets all their money back as well**.
