Thought this might be due a post seeing as the ADA Smart Contracts hype is bubbling away.
And the end of the day, if you are looking to create or use a smart contract for business or personal use, then you are staring down the barrel of some incredibly intimidating code.
Ideally, we could see solutions where Smart Contracts are utilised by Joe Public, or at least small businesses not overly familiar with Cryptocurrency *or* coding.
Remember, the best integrations of new technologies **are when users don’t even realise they’re using it**.
[If you look at this video from a recent Cardano Summit, you can see a demonstration of a smart-contract template builder.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9Kg7FskmwE)
This isn’t a million miles away from a website-building service like Wixx or Squarespace. Users can enter, choose a template, try it out, change some fonts or colours and **boom!** – Their very own website. These services have been around for the better part of 2 decades.
**Now imagine telling someone 10 years ago with no coding experience and no website knowledge that they can create a professional looking site at low cost, with a few minutes of their time.**
[Kicking it up a notch, here’s another look at the same Marlowe Playground, just using a different process to build a smart contract](https://youtu.be/MLpJ4D8_n6I?t=756) (Timestamp: 12:36)
Again, you can see the simplicity, it’s way more than Joe Public will ever know, but it allows people with small amounts of even just Excel knowledge to be able to parse and build their own contracts.
This is the same application that Cryptocurrencies need to leverage. Everything about Crypto is too complicated for the general public. Everything. Creating a wallet, transferring funds, staking or loaning out Crypto, NFT’s… it’s just a smorgasbord of “You better know how to do it, else your money goes up the swanny”
The first platform to properly integrate blockchain technology into applications so that the end user *doesn’t even know they’re using a blockchain* is the winner.
