Since it is widely said in this community “Don’t trust, verify”.
I am wondering how non technical background people in this space arrived to this conviction that BTC protocol will do what it says it would?
For me, I am fortunate to have tech background, so took lot of time to understand the Bitcoin software code, read whitepaper and BIPs to arrive to level of conviction I have.
21 million fixed supply was not even the case for BTC protocol because of some technical bug that was found in 2014 BIP 42 https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0042.mediawiki
I hope people are finding ways to not only “Trust” what technical people in this space are saying and finding ways to verify themselves.
Also I am more than happy to explain in layman terms for whatever I have understood but I guess ultimate hard work needs be done from your side.
Don’t trust, verify!!
