Last month, exes Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello were seen making out at Coachella, and that seemed to be a soft launch for the return of Shawnmila. The couple was seen walking around New York City fulfilling the first part of their romantic contractual obligations enjoying each other’s company. No heavy making out yet, though–they’ve gotta save a little for an album release or something.

Shawn and Camila broke up at the end of 2021, causing the definition of “true love” to be null and void. Well, true love has returned. The Daily Mail says that after Shawn and Camila made out at Coachella, she released a single, June Gloom, which was all about meeting some ex at Coachella. So, like… don’t call it a comeback, but I think they’re back. And this New York City stroll, complete with a source with insider information, is really on-brand for the old-school fame-whoring we expect from these two:

Their latest comes weeks after an insider revealed to DailyMail.com that the duo have been secretly seeing one another for weeks–after “playing the field” during their 18-month split made them realize just how “special” their relationship really is.

“They have hung out several times with friends and alone in recent weeks. They are seeing where things go,” they added…

“Having played the field for two years now, they both know now how special what they had was,” the source went on.

Okay, honestly, Camila’s PR team, I mean that “source” didn’t need to mention their potent sexual chemistry. I mean, it’s obvious! I’m sure your eyeballs are burning from all the raw fuck energy wafting off of them. And that’s saying a lot because I’m sure that in those pics, Shawn is pissed that Camila showed up in a crop top for their pap stroll. Crop tops are his thing!
